‘In Their Own Words – Grieving Young People’ – new film launched 17th November 2025

The film has been created in collaboration with staff and young people from Richmond’s Hope and Different Video Film to coincide with National Children’s Grief Awareness Week 2025. It gives a platform to bereaved children and young people, allowing them to express in their own words what grief feels like and how compassionate, specialist support can make a lasting difference in helping them rebuild their lives.

This film powerfully captures those voices and reminds us all of the importance of listening and supporting grieving children & young people.

Richmond’s Hope is encouraging schools, youth groups, and community organisations to share the film and start conversations about grief. Let’s build a community around the grieving and ensure no child or young person grieves alone.
