How to refer a child for support

If you would like to make an enquiry for bereavement support, complete the ‘Request a Callback’ and one of our team will be in touch. 

Anyone can refer a child to our service, but the person with parental responsibilities must give their consent. We also ask that the child/young person is aware of the referral and knows the circumstances of the death.

 Referrals are taken over the telephone. Once a referral has been received we will arrange an appointment for an assessment to take place to ensure that our service is right for the child or young person.  

 As a result of funding cuts from East Lothian Council, we will unfortunately be capping the number of families that we support in East Lothian. From 26th April our base in Haddington will be closing and East Lothian families will be required to travel to Edinburgh for sessions. If you are based in East Lothian and require bereavement support, please complete the ‘Request a Callback’ form.
